This famous hole opens up into a yawning abyss, which swallows up "Fell Beck" a nearby stream which tumbles down into a cathedral-like chamber - making this unbroken subterranean waterfall the highest in Britain at 365 ft. Usually only available to experienced potholers, exploring the Gaping Gill is a once in a lifetime experience. Today, we arrange (subject to availability) a slow descent into Gaping Gill.
